Wednesday, Dec 7th 5-6pm @ UMC 247. Free Pizza.
The CU Energy December Membership Meeting is a Faculty Panel – Energy enthusiastic professors talk about how they got into energy, energy opportunities on campus, and how to get involved in the energy field.
Following the meeting (6 pm UMC 247), we will be having a breakout session talking about the CU CleanTech New Venture Challenge . This is a DOE business plan competition hosted by CU that will award 4 teams $100,000 to start their business. After the meeting, a few local entrepreneurs will talk about how entrepreneurship fits into the energy space, and hopefully there will be brainstorming on possible ideas for the competition and team formation. This is a must attend event if you are interested in the completion.
Panelists:
Will Medlin, Associate Professor, Chemical and Biological Engineering
Colorado Center for Biorefining and Biofuels (C2B2) CU Site Director, RASEI Fellow
Professor Medlin’s group focuses on the catalysis of biomass to fuels and chemicals as well designing more efficient hydrogen fuel cell.
Gordana Dukovic, Assistant Professor, Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry
RASEI Seed Grant, RASEI Affiliate
